Actor Woo Do-hwan revealed that he gained 13kg for his character in the upcoming season.
On the 31st, a press conference for Netflix's series 'Bloodhounds' Season 2 was held at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, Jung Ji-hoon, and director Kim Joo-hwan.
'Bloodhounds' Season 2 follows the story of Geon-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi) as they take on a global illegal boxing league, delivering another satisfying straight hook after taking down a gang of ruthless loan sharks.
Returning for Season 2 after three years, Woo Do-hwan shared that he gained weight for his role. He stated, "I thought I should show that I've been working out diligently for three years, so I increased my weight by about 13kg. I gained weight for Season 1 as well, but I think I gained about 5kg more this time."
He continued, "Having experienced weight gain once before, I thought it might be a bit easier for Season 2. As long as I keep exercising, it's relatively easier compared to other preparation processes." Discussing his preparation as an actor, Woo Do-hwan added, "Building a body for a character is the easiest part for an actor. Compared to studying the inner self or becoming the character, making external changes is much easier," expressing his sense of responsibility.
Netflix's 'Bloodhounds' Season 2 is set to premiere on April 3rd.
