Comedian Hwang Young-jin has been recognized as an exemplary taxpayer.
On the 31st, Hwang shared the news on his Instagram, stating, "Listening to my wife pays off. She advised me to pay my taxes diligently, and now I've been named an exemplary taxpayer."
Hwang humorously added, "I might have a bit of hair loss, but I never evade taxes," showcasing his comedic flair. He continued, "While taxes are often disliked, they are as inevitable as death. Taxes remind me of my wife," and noted, "I paid them regularly to avoid late fees, and now I'm an exemplary taxpayer." He also mentioned, "There are benefits to being an exemplary taxpayer," and included hashtags like "#ExemplaryTaxpayer #TaxesAreEssential #ThanksToMyWife #FrugalComedian #SavingIsTheBestInvestment."
Hwang shared a photo with his wife and displayed his exemplary taxpayer certificate. The certificate states, "This person (or corporation) is certified under the 'Seoul Metropolitan City Ordinance on Support for Exemplary Taxpayers.'" Amidst recent tax evasion scandals involving celebrities, Hwang's recognition as an exemplary taxpayer stands out as a positive example.
Hwang Young-jin debuted as a comedian in 2003 through SBS's 7th open recruitment. In 2014, he married Kim Da-som, who is ten years his junior, and they have a son and a daughter. He currently engages with the public through his YouTube channel 'Hwang Young-jin TV (Jackson Hwang Couple),' which boasts nearly 180,000 subscribers.
