Actor and model Takuya has reunited with his biological father after 25 years.
On the episode of KBS2's variety show 'Mr. House Husband Season 2' aired on the 28th, Takuya's journey to Japan to find his father was revealed.
Takuya had been separated from his father following his parents' divorce during his childhood. He grew up with his stepfather, harboring a longing for his biological father.
He explained, “My biological father is 71 years old. My mother said he might have passed away, so I decided to find him before it was too late.”
Takuya confirmed his father's address in Hokkaido and traveled to Tokyo, where he finally reunited with his father at a dormitory.
Upon seeing Takuya, his father sat down and burst into tears, saying, “I'm sorry.” He added, “I hoped you would find me someday, but I never imagined this day would come.”
Takuya comforted his father, who continued to cry, saying, “Please stop, don't cry.” His father remembered Takuya's birthday, saying, “Your birthday is March 18th this month. I remembered it in my own way. I'm really sorry,” and cried again.
Takuya handed over a photo of his younger sister, and his father showed family photos from the past, reminiscing about the time gone by. Before parting, his father gave Takuya some pocket money and said, “Let's hug one last time. Thank you.” In a subsequent interview, Takuya expressed feeling relieved but soon couldn't hold back his tears.
