Recently, Young-sook greeted her followers on Instagram, saying, "Hello, this is Young-sook from the 30th season of 'I Am Solo'." She continued, "As I entered my 30s, I felt time was flying by, so I decided to try at least two new things each year. One of those new challenges in 2025 was appearing on 'I Am Solo'." She admitted, "During filming, I was excited thinking I might get some screen time, but seeing my less favorable sides broadcasted made me feel embarrassed about my initial excitement."
She added, "When the PD called me a 'woodpecker', I only thought about my strengths, like being straightforward in relationships and achieving goals. However, watching the show objectively, I discovered a stubborn side of me that could hurt others, which I wasn't aware of." She confessed, "Watching the episodes multiple times, especially the final super date, I felt ashamed and embarrassed by my behavior."
She continued, "I've reflected a lot and set some personal rules to improve myself. I also realized I often say unnecessary things! (My urge to be funny ㅜㅜ) I humbly accept the feedback about my lack of self-awareness and plan to reduce such tendencies in the future."
Young-sook expressed gratitude, saying, "Despite everything, I'm thankful to those around me who have always encouraged me with kind words throughout my 34 years of life." She added, "One positive outcome from the show was realizing how much my friends care for me, which has made me feel more resilient."
She concluded, "To my friends reading this and everyone online who has supported and understood me, I hope to return your kindness someday. Please reach out whenever you need a kind word. Although I didn't find love, I'm grateful for all the moments with my fellow 30th season participants, the 'Sook Sisters', and the experiences like the soybean paste, roller dates, and being the 'woodpecker'. I'll cherish these colorful moments and return to my true self, seeking new challenges and living happily. Thank you!"
