The 'Unpredictable [Home]' episode aired on the 27th on tvN, showcasing the restoration process of Kim Sook's Jeju house, which had been neglected for a decade.
In this episode, Kim Sook considered the unique status of Seongeup Village, designated as a national heritage site, and enlisted Ma Cheol-woo, a technician known for his work on major national cultural heritage sites like Deoksugung and Changgyeonggung, as the contractor.
While traveling with Song Eun-i, Kim Sook expressed her nervousness, saying, “We can't make any mistakes. It was hard to bring him on board.”
Song Eun-i also showed her earnestness, stating, “If he doesn't do it, we're in big trouble. We came here to sign the contract today.” Previously, this house was jointly owned by Kim Sook and Song Eun-i, but Song Eun-i revealed she had settled her share, drawing attention.
Ma Cheol-woo, a national heritage restoration technician, is an expert with experience in restoring Changgyeonggung and Deoksugung. He stated, “We will proceed cautiously to restore it as close to its original form as possible.”
The unveiling of the 'Sook House' before the main construction also caught the eye.
Unlike its past, where it was overgrown and unrecognizable, the cleared space now revealed a spacious yard and the distinct shape of the house.
Upon seeing the site, Baek Ga exclaimed, “Oh my God,” expressing his surprise. Lee Cheon-hee also admired the transformation, saying, “It looked like a haunted house at first, but now you can see the shape of the house.”
The combination of the ancient tree that has guarded the garden and the organized space heightened expectations for future changes. Kim Sook marked the official start of the Jeju house project by breaking ground right after signing the contract.
