Actress Jung Si-a shed tears as she reminisced about her late father.
On the 27th, a video titled 'Jung Si-a's Tearful Exhibition with Daughter Seo-woo. Why Did She Press the Cry Button? (+Grandfather Story)' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Jung Si-a Asi Jung'.
In the video, Jung Si-a and her daughter Seo-woo visited artist Kim Eun-ji's 'Mind Walk' exhibition. Jung Si-a noted during a photo exhibition, "Seo-woo loves taking pictures. I'm really curious about what she'll become in the future. She might even become an art director beyond just painting," drawing attention.
Jung Si-a shared, "Attending exhibitions like this together can reduce stress and bring peace of mind," recommending exhibition visits with children. However, she humorously added, "Sometimes my blood pressure rises because of the kids. It can be overwhelming."
The exhibition focused on the theme of 'family'. While viewing the artworks, Jung Si-a was reminded of her father and became emotional. She confessed, "My father passed away about a month after I gave birth to Jun-woo. I started to understand my parents' feelings a bit. Just when I was about to show filial piety, he left. I felt so sorry."
She continued, "There was a last phone call where my dad said, 'I love you, daughter.' I didn't know it would be the last. I was so busy and tired with childcare that I just said, 'Okay,' and hung up. I should have said, 'I love you too,' but I didn't, and it still weighs on my heart," she admitted, eventually breaking into tears.
Baek Do-bin felt a bit hurt, but Jung Si-a understood, saying, "At that age, being close to dad can be embarrassing. It's a time when they want to appear tough."
Reflecting on her middle school daughter, Jung Si-a expressed concern, "I wonder what teenage symptoms await Seo-woo," and suggested to her husband Baek Do-bin to say "I love you" over the phone.
When their daughter called and said, "Dad, I love you," Baek Do-bin awkwardly responded, "Why are you saying that all of a sudden? You don't usually say that. Are you done filming?" After the call, their daughter maturely remarked, "It all sounds like love," impressing everyone.
