Stars of Netflix's reality show 'Single's Inferno 5', Kim Go-eun and Jo Yi-gun, have spoken out about rumors of them being a real-life couple.
On the 26th, the YouTube channel 'Open Your Mouth' released a video titled 'So What's the Deal Between You Two? | EP.09 Single's Inferno Jo Yi-gun Kim Go-eun | Truman Show'. The two appeared as guests and participated in a lie detector talk with comedian Lee Yong-jin.
When asked if she ever had feelings for Jo Yi-gun, Kim Go-eun admitted, "Yes," which was confirmed as true. She further stated, "If I were to choose again now, it would be Yi-gun oppa," receiving a truthful verdict. Jo Yi-gun smiled shyly at her candidness. Kim explained, "There were misunderstandings during filming, but after the 'Reunion', we cleared things up and understood each other's feelings. If I were to choose again, I would pick Yi-gun oppa," she added positively.
When it was Jo Yi-gun's turn, Lee Yong-jin asked, "Were you sincere with Go-eun?" Jo Yi-gun replied, "Yes," which was also confirmed as true. Lee then mentioned their movie date promise from the reunion episode, asking, "You two planned to watch 'Avatar 3', did you actually see it?" Jo Yi-gun revealed, "We had free time on Tuesday and Saturday that week, but due to a schedule conflict, we couldn't watch it."
The moment when they addressed the real-life couple rumors caught attention. Lee Yong-jin asked directly, "Are you two currently dating?" Jo Yi-gun answered, "No," which was confirmed as true.
Jo Yi-gun explained, "We met again during the 'Reunion', cleared misunderstandings, and expressed our feelings. We had a brief fight due to a personal misunderstanding, which led to a temporary break in communication. After the 'Reunion' aired, we resolved the misunderstanding and have been meeting up again." He added, "It's a bit early to say we're dating," creating a subtle atmosphere.
Lee Yong-jin inquired about their private meetings, to which Jo Yi-gun confirmed, "Yes." Lee commented, "It seems like things are progressing between you two," and asked, "Do you think your relationship is developing?" Jo Yi-gun replied, "Yes," and Kim Go-eun agreed, "We are getting to know each other better now," sparking excitement.
Previously, during the final selection of 'Single's Inferno 5', Jo Yi-gun chose Kim Go-eun, but she chose another contestant, Woo Sung-min, and they did not end up as a couple. With the revelation that Kim Go-eun did not develop a real-life relationship with Woo Sung-min, interest in her potential relationship with Jo Yi-gun has been reignited.
