During the episode, the wife, who met with counselor Lee Ho-sun, revealed her struggles, stating she had attempted to end her life four times and felt devoid of the will to live.
She disclosed that she always wore long sleeves to hide her scars. She recounted, "My son saw my scars and asked, 'Mom, are you hurt? Mom, were you hurt? Mom, I'm sorry.'"
Lee Ho-sun responded, "Both your son and husband are worried about you. Change is necessary, especially for your child," and emphasized, "Abuse isn't just physical." He further stressed the need for treatment, noting, "It's not that you want to die; you have a stronger desire to live properly." Despite this, the wife continued to struggle with change, evoking sympathy.
Additionally, when asked why she mentioned divorce, the wife explained, "I thought my child would be happier with a better mom than me." Lee Ho-sun advised, "If you want to be a good mom, live. Scarring your body leaves a permanent mark on your child's heart."
