Comedian Lee Yong-jin throws down the gauntlet to Jang Dong-min.
Wavve's new original survival show 'Betting on Fact' premieres at 11 AM on the 27th. The show features eight participants living in isolation, tasked with discerning the truth in news amidst an era flooded with fake news.
The lineup includes comedians Jang Dong-min and Lee Yong-jin, professor Jin Joong-kwon, broadcaster Jung Young-jin, singer and actress Ye-won, political YouTuber Hellmouse, former Democratic Party Supreme Council member Park Sung-min, and former People Power Party spokesperson Kang Jeon-ae. They promise intense debates, strategies, alliances, and betrayals, delivering high-octane dopamine.
From the opening, the eight players engage in a fierce 'battle of nerves,' heightening the tension. Hellmouse directly challenges Jin Joong-kwon, saying, "You often talk nonsense, doesn't that disqualify you as a critic?" Jin Joong-kwon responds firmly, "I don't need to talk to Hellmouse separately." Meanwhile, Kang Jeon-ae and Park Sung-min engage in a heated exchange, questioning each other's political parties.
After surrendering their smart devices, the players enter the 'Round 1 Fact War' to determine the truth of news articles in a communication blackout. The 'polar opposite pairs' like Jin Joong-kwon and Hellmouse, Park Sung-min and Kang Jeon-ae, begin an uneasy coexistence, prompting reactions of "This is delicious!" from the studio. Jang Dong-min, while reviewing an article related to 'Young Forty,' declares, "If this is true, I'll rise up," choosing a path contrary to popular opinion. All eyes are on whether Jang Dong-min can use his intuition to find the correct answers.
After Round 1, a 'last-place team' emerges with a dismal accuracy rate, providing comic relief. Jung Young-jin jests, "Shouldn't you at least get half right even if you guess?" Meanwhile, Lee Yong-jin declares, "If I end up on the same team as Dong-min, I'll make sure we lose, just because I can't stand him," issuing a challenge to the 'Survival GOAT' Jang Dong-min from day one. Viewers are eager to see if Lee Yong-jin can outplay Jang Dong-min in a surprising turn of events.
'Betting on Fact' releases its first two episodes at 11 AM on the 27th, with subsequent episodes airing every Friday at 11 AM, exclusively on Wavve.
