Jeon Mi-ra, former national tennis player and wife of singer Yoon Jong-shin, recently visited a hospital due to unexplained swelling in her leg.
On the 25th, Jeon shared on her social media, "My calf and ankle are swollen for no apparent reason," along with a photo showing her leg wrapped in bandages and tape.
After her hospital visit, Jeon updated her followers on the test results. She stated, "There were various speculations like gout, varicose veins, a virus, or tendonitis, but the ultrasound showed no muscle or ligament damage, nor was it due to varicose veins." She added, "They said it's probably nothing serious."
Jeon also mentioned, "The doctor complimented me on having the best quality muscles they've seen recently," sharing the unexpected diagnosis. However, the exact cause of the swelling remains unknown.
Jeon expressed her confusion, saying, "I wonder why it's so swollen. There's no muscle tear or blood pooling." She added, "I should try elevating my leg while sleeping. Hopefully, the swelling will go down by tomorrow."
Jeon Mi-ra was a national tennis player from 1993 to 2005 and married Yoon Jong-shin in 2006. The couple has one son and two daughters.
