AKMU's Suhyun shared an intriguing story of overcoming a slump with the help of her Marine veteran brother, Chanhyuk. This revelation caught the attention of many.

On the 25th, the YouTube channel 'You Quiz on the Tube' released a teaser for tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' titled 'AKMU Returns After Overcoming a Slump.' In the video, AKMU's Chanhyuk and Suhyun met with host Yoo Jae-suk to discuss their upcoming fourth studio album.

Yoo Jae-suk congratulated the duo on their comeback and inquired about the preparation process for their new album. He mentioned, "I heard Chanhyuk organized a mental boot camp for Suhyun when she was in a slump," and asked, "Did you go to Daeseong-ri for this camp in January?"

Suhyun humorously responded, "Since Chanhyuk is a Marine veteran, his ideas are beyond imagination." She added, "We had to wake up early, exercise, engage in self-development, do PT, and go to bed by 10 PM. I might have considered running away," which brought laughter to the set.

Chanhyuk explained the project he undertook to help Suhyun regain her rhythm, expressing his heartfelt concern for his sister. He shyly smiled and said, "Thank you for trusting and following me," but Suhyun playfully covered her ears and grimaced, causing more laughter. Yoo Jae-suk jokingly added, "I was worried he might say 'I love you' next," to which both siblings reacted with mock disgust, sparking another round of laughter.

Previously, Suhyun gained attention in August last year for her successful weight loss. When rumors spread that she used the obesity treatment Wegovy, she clarified, "I didn't use Wegovy. It's very unfair," and explained, "I resisted spicy foods and worked out diligently to build healthy habits, fighting with myself every day." On the 19th, AKMU shared a video on their YouTube channel showing Suhyun's weight loss journey under Chanhyuk's strict management, dispelling the Wegovy rumors.

Meanwhile, AKMU parted ways with YG Entertainment last December and established their independent label, 'Inspiration Well.' They announced the release of their fourth studio album on February 23, marking their first in seven years. AKMU's appearance on 'You Quiz on the Block' is set to air on April 1 at 8:45 PM on tvN.
