On the 25th, Park Bom posted a photo on her Instagram with the caption "Birthday Celebration." In the photo, she is seen wearing a white outfit with bold makeup, looking directly at the camera. Once again, Park Bom drew attention for using Photoshop to smooth out blemishes and shorten her philtrum.
Earlier this month, on the 3rd, Park Bom mentioned her fellow member Sandara Park in a handwritten letter on her social media. She claimed, "Sandara Park was caught with drugs, and to cover it up, they made me out to be the drug user," referencing the 2010 controversy over the importation of Adderall.
Park Bom further explained, "I'm cautious about causing another uproar, but the drug known as Adderall bothers me. It's not a drug," and identified herself as an ADHD patient.
She also added, "I hope YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun-suk, Teddy, and CL refrain from reporting to the authorities that 'Park Bom used more than the prescribed amount' of drugs, which I haven't used in almost 30 years."
Following the controversy, Sandara Park responded the next day, stating, "I have never used drugs. I wish her (Park Bom) well," but unfollowed Park Bom's social media account. Although Park Bom deleted the post that sparked the drug allegations, she reposted the same message two days later, calling it a "letter to the public," reigniting the controversy.
Meanwhile, 2NE1, the group Park Bom was part of, debuted in 2009 and celebrated their 16th anniversary this year. They disbanded in 2016 but reunited in 2024 for a world tour to connect with fans worldwide.
