K-pop group Baby DONT Cry has made a striking comeback with their mini-album 'AFTER CRY', featuring the high-note-filled title track 'Bittersweet'. The group showcased their confidence in live performances during a showcase event held at the Blue Square in Seoul on the 24th.

Leader Lee Hyun expressed his confidence in the album, stating, "I can confidently say that this album, especially the title track, is really good." Benny added, "We worked really hard and can't wait to share our music with fans and the world. We wanted to surprise everyone with our performance."

Lee Hyun reminisced about their trainee days, saying, "Listening to 'Bittersweet' reminds me of those tough times when I cried after monthly evaluations. Those experiences made me who I am today." Benny shared, "I started my trainee life at a young age, missing out on a typical school life. The title track brings back memories of my early pursuit of dreams, and I'm proud and grateful for that."

The title track 'Bittersweet' is a dance-pop song known for its impressive high notes, reminiscent of the Netflix animation 'K-pop Demon Hunters' OST 'GOLDEN'. The members performed the high notes live on stage, showcasing their strong vocal skills even while dancing. Mia admitted, "The song is really high. I wondered if I could sing it, but with hard work, it became a 'bittersweet' moment."

Lyricist Kim Eana wrote the lyrics for four out of the five tracks on the mini-album. Mia expressed her admiration, saying, "Working with Kim Eana, who has written many hit songs, was a great honor." She added, "I was happy to receive direction on how to bring the lyrics to life."

When asked about Kim Eana's guidance, Mia replied, "She advised us to recall memories and emotions while recording, given the delicate nature of the lyrics."

Regarding their album promotion goals, Lee Hyun stated, "Our goal is always to perform an encore song." He added, "Winning first place on a music show would be an honor. We want to show a fun side by switching parts. We even practice giving acceptance speeches and swapping parts while traveling."

Lee Hyun also mentioned their aspiration to tour wherever their fans are, saying, "We're preparing hard for overseas expansion. We hope to inspire confidence in others by being confident ourselves." Benny added, "K-pop is loved worldwide, and we're proud to be part of it. We're eager to go anywhere if given the chance."
