Set to premiere on Thursday, March 26 at 9:50 PM, KBS 2TV's new mini-series 'Simu-myeon Yeonriri' is a heartwarming family reboot drama. It follows the urban family of Seong Tae-hoon, who suddenly find themselves in the rural area of 'Yeonriri' and strive to return to Seoul.
Park Sung-woong and Lee Soo-kyung: A Sweet and Bitter Couple Chemistry?
In the drama, Seong Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) and Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung) are a couple with three sons. Living separately, they are suddenly brought together in the countryside of Yeonriri, where the story unfolds. Seong Tae-hoon, a corporate manager, is forced into rural life due to an unexpected transfer and struggles to adapt. His wife, Jo Mi-ryeo, is set to portray a sweet yet fierce dynamic with her husband, while also dealing with the local women's association as she adjusts to unexpected rural life. The contrast between Seong Tae-hoon, who becomes a farmer to support his family, and Jo Mi-ryeo, who keeps a realistic perspective, promises a delightful chemistry.
As a newcomer to Yeonriri, Seong Tae-hoon faces challenges from the start with village chief Im Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-hwan). Im Joo-hyung begins to interfere with Seong Tae-hoon's cabbage farming due to his association with 'Matstory'. As the village's veteran, Im Joo-hyung warns residents against helping Seong Tae-hoon, using any means necessary to obstruct his farming efforts. Despite their rivalry, the two gradually develop a complex relationship, and Seong Tae-hoon's chaotic adaptation to village life is expected to entertain viewers.
The Tumultuous Relationship with Three Unique Sons?
The chemistry between Seong Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) and his three sons is a key highlight of the drama. The eldest son, Seong Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jin-woo), who scored perfectly on his college entrance exam but realizes it's not his path, secretly decides to drop out and gains unexpected life experiences in Yeonriri.
