The fourth episode, aired on March 22, revealed a shocking twist as Gi Soo-jong (played by Ha Jung-woo) discovers a secret about Kim Sun (played by Im Soo-jung), only to be caught in another incident at the Seyoon Building. The episode achieved a 4.2% average viewership in the Seoul metropolitan area, peaking at 5.0%, and a nationwide average of 3.9%, peaking at 4.5%, securing the top spot in its time slot across cable and general programming channels, according to Nielsen Korea.
The episode unfolded unpredictably as the Seyoon Building was included in a new redevelopment zone. Yona (played by Shim Eun-kyung) pressured Kim Sun to sell the building to Real Capital, but Gi Soo-jong was tempted by the potential windfall from the redevelopment. Feeling betrayed by his friend Min Hwal-seong (played by Kim Jun-han), who kept this information from him, Gi Soo-jong resolved not to give up on the Seyoon Building.
The reason behind Kim Sun's coercion by Yona was revealed. A video Yona possessed showed Min Hwal-seong and Kim Sun together, leading Kim Sun to push Gi Soo-jong into selling the building in exchange for the video's deletion. However, Gi Soo-jong refused, prompting Yona to ominously warn that this was the last chance to resolve things quietly, and she sent the incriminating video to Gi Soo-jong.
Kim Sun desperately tried to prevent Gi Soo-jong from watching the video, urging him to wait until she returned. She rushed to Real Capital, where she deleted the original video, only to find Morgan (played by Miyavi) bleeding and unconscious. Yona had dealt with her dismissive boss Morgan, and Kim Sun witnessed the murder while hiding under a desk, terrified.
Back at the Seyoon Building, Kim Sun seized Gi Soo-jong's phone to delete the video. Suspicious of her obsession, Gi Soo-jong attempted to check the message, claiming the video was still there. Despite Kim Sun's efforts to destroy the phone, Gi Soo-jong discovered the affair between his wife and friend, leaving him feeling utterly betrayed.
As the couple argued, a strange noise from the first-floor restroom shifted the drama's tone. The restroom was where they had hidden cash from a kidnapping. When they opened the door, a man attacked them, and after a struggle, they realized it was Oh Dong-gi (played by Hyun Bong-sik), the café owner on the first floor. Oh Dong-gi had discovered the cash while fixing the restroom himself. To make matters worse, the scissors Kim Sun had brought as a weapon ended up lodged in Oh Dong-gi's body. The episode ended with the couple in shock, staring at the bleeding Oh Dong-gi.
The unfolding events, as the couple tried to cover up their crime and ended up causing another, kept viewers glued to their screens. With Seyoon Building tenant Oh Dong-gi now entangled in the chaos, the anticipation for what will happen next is heightened. The preview of Gi Soo-jong and Kim Sun's forced partnership as they navigate their shared fate adds to the excitement.
