Shinhwa's Kim Dong-wan Faces Legal Battle Over Former Manager's Allegations

Kim Dong-wan, a member of the group Shinhwa and an actor, has announced his intention to take legal action against allegations made by his former manager.

On the 23rd, Kim Dong-wan stated on his social media, "The content currently being circulated is false," and added, "I will not comment on personal relationships. If the dissemination of false information continues, I will take all legal actions, both civil and criminal."

The controversy began when an individual claiming to be Kim Dong-wan's former manager, identified as A, posted on social media, "How can things be the same now as they were years ago? Drinking and fighting with fans on Instagram Live, and now wanting to be a hero, whether he's in his right mind or not," criticizing Kim's past work attitude and live broadcast behavior.

A further claimed, "I arranged for him to appear in a musical, negotiated directly with the production company to increase his fee, but he suddenly backed out, leaving us in a difficult position," using colorful language to highlight past conflicts.

The allegations surfaced after Kim Dong-wan posted, then deleted, a message publicly supporting MC Ding Dong, who was recently embroiled in a drunk driving and assault controversy. Kim later apologized, stating, "It was an expression made without fully considering the situation."

Kim Dong-wan has faced several controversies over his social media statements in the past. In 2021, he apologized after defending singer Lee Soo, who had a history of soliciting prostitution, and more recently, he sparked debate by discussing the legalization of prostitution. Additionally, on the 21st, he faced backlash for supporting MC Ding Dong, who assaulted a female BJ during a live broadcast.

With the ongoing social media controversies and the latest allegations, public attention is focused on the direction of the public opinion surrounding Kim Dong-wan.
