The reunion of 'Tazza' stars Lee Soo-kyung and Kim Eung-soo is creating a buzz. On Lee Soo-kyung's YouTube channel 'Lee Soo-kyung Career', a video titled 'Kim Eung-soo, the 'Pure-hearted Man' Returns for Hwaran! From Tazza Behind-the-Scenes to Acting Advice | EP.02 Acting Career' was released on the 19th.
Lee Soo-kyung invited actor Kim Eung-soo, who played Gwak Cheol-yong, to the actual filming location of the bar 'Piaget' where Hwaran worked in the movie 'Tazza'. Dressed in Gwak Cheol-yong's signature all-blue suit, Kim Eung-soo made his entrance with the line, “Hwaran, your brother is here!” and engaged in a 'Tazza' skit with Lee Soo-kyung, bringing laughter.
On this day, Lee Soo-kyung sought advice from veteran actor Kim Eung-soo, saying, “I have a role where I have to raise three kids, and I don't know how to do it.” Kim Eung-soo, calling it a “reassuring and welcome question,” shared behind-the-scenes stories of how he made Gwak Cheol-yong an iconic character in 'Tazza'. He imparted his acting wisdom, saying, “Whatever the character, make it cool. Being cool is persuasive,” and expressed pride in his character by adding, “Isn't Gwak Cheol-yong the coolest in all of Tazza?”
In response, Lee Soo-kyung confessed her past efforts to break away from her existing image, sharing her candid concerns. Kim Eung-soo firmly advised, “That's a foolish thing to do. There's no need to break away.” He humorously added, “Walk with me around Hongdae entrance, and the road will be blocked! 'It's Gwak Cheol-yong!' and 20 people will come running to hug me,” causing the audience to burst into laughter.
When asked if he ever had a job other than acting, Kim Eung-soo replied, “Am I crazy to do business?” and advised Lee Soo-kyung, who had struggled with consecutive business failures, “Don't do what you don't know. That's a 100% losing game.” Lee Soo-kyung also reflected, “I did a lot of things I didn't know when I was young. It was a good experience,” with a bittersweet smile, evoking sympathy.
The episode continued with Lee Soo-kyung presenting a gift to her senior who graciously agreed to the YouTube shoot. She prepared a nostalgic whiskey known for the 'Tazza' triple bow shot. Kim Eung-soo reacted with delight, saying, “Hwaran has loyalty.”
Finally, the production team, observing the conversation between the two, asked Kim Eung-soo about 'communicating with the MZ generation'. Kim Eung-soo expressed his affection for the MZ generation, saying, “I like young people. They are ready to communicate!” He also shared his know-how of connecting with the MZ generation through music, claiming, “I was the first to sing 'Fire'!”
