Actress Park Jin-hee candidly shared an episode about a marital spat with her husband, who is a judge five years her junior.
On the October 22nd episode of SBS's variety show 'My Ugly Duckling', Park Jin-hee appeared as a special MC and discussed her married life.
Park Jin-hee, who has been married to her judge husband for 13 years, was asked by Shin Dong-yup, "It must be tough to argue with a judge husband. Doesn't he have strong logic?"
Why Does the Logical Judge Husband Lose in Arguments?
Park Jin-hee responded, "While my husband may have the upper hand in logic and reason, how can a man win against a woman in a verbal argument?" She added, "Even when we argue, I win. My husband knows this too. He knows he can't win against his wife in a verbal spat," showing a relaxed demeanor.
She also shared her strategy for getting her judge husband to do household chores. "I've heard that you need to give men missions," she said. "If you tell them specifically, like 'Change the light bulb by Wednesday, finish by 6:30 PM', they do much better. Using this method, everything gets done neatly."
What Did Her Husband Say That Made Her Vow Revenge?
After giving birth, Park Jin-hee faced conflicts with her husband. She recalled, "After having my first child, I spent 18 months solely focused on the baby, which led to feelings of depression."
She asked her husband for "one day a week, just four hours to herself," but since they were living apart during the weekends, he refused, saying, "Weekends are for family time. It's difficult."
Park Jin-hee said, "I felt like he didn't understand my feelings, so I cried a lot," but added, "I thought to myself, 'Just wait, the day will come when I get my revenge.' Later, when my husband took paternity leave, he said, 'Now I understand how you feel.'"
Meanwhile, Park Jin-hee married her judge husband, who is five years younger, in 2014, and they have a daughter and a son together.
