BTS candidly shared their feelings about their first full-group comeback after completing military service.
On the 21st, BTS held 'BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG' at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. The event was broadcast live to over 190 countries and regions worldwide via Netflix.
Taking the stage as a complete group for the first time since their military service, the members opened up about their thoughts. J-Hope confessed, "While preparing for this album, we worried if we might have been forgotten, and if you would still remember us."
The members reflected on the choices they needed to make at this turning point and what kind of artists and creators they wanted to be. RM shared, "The answer was within us. It was about listening more to our own voices and expressing our struggles and wanderings without hesitation. That was our goal." Suga added, "During the time we were paused, we thought about what we needed to preserve and what needed to change. Although we're still uncertain and anxious, we believe these emotions are part of us and define who we are."
Jimin expressed, "We are not special people. While preparing, we were scared, but we believe that if we 'keep swimming,' we'll eventually find the answer." V added, "What we can do is keep moving forward step by step without stopping. We will continue to release music and perform. We hope this song brings you comfort and strength," as they introduced their new song 'SWIM.'
BTS released their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' on the 20th at 1 PM. This marks their first new release in 3 years and 9 months since June 2022. The album was executive produced by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk and includes 14 tracks, including the title track 'SWIM.' BTS has infused their genuine experiences and reflections from their journey into every song. They will embark on a world tour starting next month at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, covering 34 cities with 82 shows.
