Im Soo-hyang has revealed her new home.
On the 20th, a video titled 'I'll Introduce My Home Again, But It's a 'New Home'' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Im Soo-hyang's Turtle and Crane'.
In the video, Im Soo-hyang shared some changes. She stated, "It's not a new channel, but there have been changes. Previously, I only handled editing separately and got help with filming, but it became too overwhelming, so I joined a YouTube production company."
Im Soo-hyang Embraces Minimalism After Moving
Im Soo-hyang also showcased her new home. She said, "Our home has changed a lot. We've organized a lot and reduced our belongings by half. We moved with the intention of trying minimalism," while also mentioning 'lease expiration' and 'jeonse', which caught attention.
Im Soo-hyang revealed, "We sold almost all the furniture we had and set up the house to fit this space." She added, "As the house got smaller, we organized it to be as empty as possible. The interior is matched with ivory and light tones."
Particularly, Im Soo-hyang mentioned, "I don't like to keep the lights bright; I prefer living with dim indirect lighting," and demonstrated by turning off the direct lights. However, when the production team commented, "It doesn't look as nice as before," she quickly turned the lights back on, bringing laughter.
Im Soo-hyang pointed out the most expensive furniture in her home as the Spanish curtains, saying, "The most expensive thing in this house seems to be the curtains. We even installed electric curtains, but they don't close well," she admitted candidly.
Using a room with a great view of the Han River as a closet, Im Soo-hyang introduced her kitchen and living space, confessing, "These days, I often get lured into buying things while browsing Instagram."
What Criteria Does Im Soo-hyang Use to Choose Her Projects?
Finally, Im Soo-hyang expressed her passion for acting. She said, "I like works that give room for serious thought. I prefer projects that convey relationships or messages." She continued, "'My ID is Gangnam Beauty' was good because it had a message about the obsession with appearance. It kept delivering the message that you don't have to be pretty, which gave me a lot to think about."
She added, "I originally started with theater, and I like it too. On stage, everything depends on the actor, so it becomes more honest. If I do well, it shows, and if I don't, that shows too," she said. "That's why I like it for its transparency. I gain the most energy when acting."
Meanwhile, Im Soo-hyang has previously candidly shared her affluent childhood and the rumors of being a 'golden spoon'. She mentioned wearing luxury padded jackets and driving supercars since middle school, and living in a 60-pyeong villa in Cheongdam-dong, sharing her glamorous upbringing, which became a hot topic.
