Indian Math Teacher Bans Students from Skipping Class for BTS Comeback Live

An Indian math teacher has made headlines by issuing a notice prohibiting students from collectively skipping class to watch BTS's comeback live performance on the 21st. The much-anticipated BTS full-group comeback show coincides with local academy class hours in India, prompting this action.

According to foreign media and social networking services (SNS) on the 20th, the math teacher posted a notice ahead of BTS's performance. The teacher stated, "The 21st is a regular class day," and warned, "The claim by some students that it is a holiday is not true, so please be cautious."

The teacher further explained the reason for the notice, saying, "It has been observed that some students are planning a 'group absence' to watch the BTS performance broadcast online on that day." The teacher added, "There will be no special holiday on that date, and strict measures will be taken against absences without a valid reason."

BTS is set to release their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' at 1 PM on the same day. The members will hold 'BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG' at 8 PM on the 21st at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. 'BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG' will be conducted in collaboration with Netflix and broadcast live to viewers in over 190 countries/regions via Netflix.

The performance at 8 PM coincides with 4:30 PM local time in India, overlapping with academy class hours and raising concerns among teachers.

Meanwhile, this album marks BTS's first new release in 3 years and 9 months since June 2022. Chairman Bang Si-hyuk took charge of the overall production of the new album. The album includes a total of 14 tracks, including the title track 'SWIM.' BTS, returning as a full group after a long time, has infused their genuine experiences and reflections from their journey into every track.
