On the October 18th episode of SBS Plus and ENA's 'I Am Solo,' 30th season contestant Young-chul was seen breaking down in tears, rejecting Sang-chul's attempt to comfort him by saying, "Please go away."
The incident occurred during the competitive process for a date among the contestants, sparking mixed reactions from viewers.
During the episode, Young-chul was seen spending time alone in the dormitory when he accidentally caught his hand in the refrigerator door. Reflecting on the incident, he muttered to himself, "I understand why people say I'm peculiar."
Why Did Young-chul Break Down?
Sitting on the stairs, Young-chul expressed his feelings, saying, "I've been searching for 35 years," and "I wanted to prove my normalcy," before breaking into tears.
When Sang-chul approached with tissues to offer comfort, Young-chul's demeanor changed. He pushed Sang-chul away, saying, "Don't come. Please go away," leaving Sang-chul bewildered.
Later, Young-chul, now alone, remarked, "I think I can go home now. I've achieved my goals." In an interview with the production team, he claimed, "I don't remember."
