Korean singer KCM has experienced vocal issues during his recent trip to Vietnam.
On the KBS 2TV show 'Duet Across the Sea,' KCM teamed up with renowned Vietnamese artists Minhtoc & Lam to create an original song. In search of inspiration, KCM explored various locations in Vietnam. However, a musical clash occurred between the artists. While Minhtoc & Lam had prepared their own composition, KCM suggested a more mainstream style, which the duo rejected, leading to a halt in filming and the songwriting process.
The following day, the two teams met again in an awkward atmosphere. Mickey Kwangsoo and Jo Maeryeok attempted to lighten the mood. To gain inspiration for their song, they traveled to a Vietnamese beach. Despite the uncomfortable journey, the open sea seemed to ease the tension between KCM and Minhtoc & Lam.
However, KCM was seen clutching his throat, indicating possible vocal strain. He previously shared that he had come to Vietnam with the thought that this might be his last chance, recalling past vocal cord issues that had prevented him from singing.
Additionally, KCM was caught on camera expressing frustration, saying, "I trusted you. Don't touch it!" This raises curiosity about what events will unfold during their musical journey.
The episode will air on October 19 at 9:50 PM on KBS 2TV.
Meanwhile, KCM recently introduced his wife and two daughters to the public for the first time in 13 years. He welcomed his first daughter in 2012, registered his marriage with his wife, who is nine years younger, in 2021, and has since welcomed a second daughter and a son.
