Comedian Heo Kyung-hwan was caught off guard by a hidden camera prank.
On the 16th, the YouTube channel 'Curious about Heo Kyung-hwan' released a video titled 'Curious about Heo Kyung-hwan's Cooking Skills? Spring Greens Bibimbap by the Cooking Man Heo Kyung-hwan'.
The production team visited Heo Kyung-hwan's home on his day off and suggested having a meal together. Despite the sudden visit, Heo Kyung-hwan readily agreed.
When asked by the team to make spring greens bibimbap, Heo Kyung-hwan admitted, "I've never made spring greens bibimbap before. But I'm good at cooking, even if I can't explain it well."
Heo Kyung-hwan began cooking by preparing soybean paste stew first. He commented, "The hardest part of cooking is the preparation, but once you start, it's easy," as he skillfully handled the ingredients. He added, "There's a difference between good and bad cooks. Good cooks keep things clean, while bad ones make a mess."
Watching him cook, the production team praised him as "the perfect husband material." Heo Kyung-hwan expressed his own excitement, saying he was looking forward to tasting his soybean paste stew and spring greens bibimbap.
The hidden camera prank was then revealed. The team had secretly ordered delivery spring greens bibimbap to compare in a blind taste test.
The PD, blindfolded, confidently stated, "Number 1 is delicious. Isn't this the one Heo Kyung-hwan made? It's much tastier. The difference in flavor is clear. Number 2 is bland."
Heo Kyung-hwan, feeling disappointed, jokingly told the PD, "Go home." It turned out that number 1 was the delivery, and number 2 was Heo Kyung-hwan's dish. He admitted, "I put too much rice," but humorously added the delivery seasoning to his bibimbap to improve the taste.
Meanwhile, Heo Kyung-hwan has recently been cast as a regular member on MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo?' and has become a popular figure, even landing an Ottogi commercial model role.
