Young-sook took to Instagram to reveal, "I'm really glad I went to the hospital with my brother today. The professor said the cancer has progressed significantly and shared various details. As soon as I left the consultation room, tears welled up and I couldn't hold them back... hahaha." She continued, "Honestly, I'm exhausted and it's tough, but I've been holding on with the hope that surgery and treatment will go well. However, hearing that the cancer has spread significantly and that it's a difficult surgery is worrying. Every day, I silently plead, 'Cancer cells, please spread slowly!!!!!' but they don't listen~~~~hahaha. Just waiting eagerly for the surgery date..."

Previously, Young-sook disclosed on Instagram, "I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in January and have been visiting various hospitals (currently undergoing my nth biopsy and still waiting). I'm preparing for surgery while checking for metastasis. I've noticed my stamina isn't what it used to be, and I feel very tired. It's hard to have long conversations, and my neck is very swollen, so I went to the hospital for an ultrasound and biopsy."
Meanwhile, Young-sook met her partner Young-chul on 'I Am Solo' in 2022, and they eventually married. They now have a son and a daughter, enjoying a happy family life. Many viewers are sending their support to Young-sook during this challenging time.
