Recently, the 'Diggle' channel released a video titled "[Lee Ho-sun's Counseling Center] A Couple Earning $10,000 a Month but with Zero Savings: Lee Ho-sun's Solution for a Couple Who Signed an $800,000 House Contract Without a Down Payment."
The video is an edited segment from the tvN STORY show 'Lee Ho-sun's Counseling Center,' featuring counselor Lee Ho-sun, Jang Young-ran, and In Gyo-jin discussing marital issues.
A letter from the wife's mother was revealed, expressing her concerns: "My son-in-law wants to go out and have fun. When looking for a newlywed home, he tried to sign an $800,000 house contract without any down payment. Is this right?" She added, "My daughter is 33 but still immature, often saying 'let's divorce.'"
A newlywed couple, married for two years, appeared for counseling. Lee Ho-sun noted, "It's the first time a mother has directly requested counseling. Imagine how distressed she must be," and asked who was at fault. The wife immediately pointed to her husband, while he claimed, "Both of us are at fault."
Without even a $10,000 down payment, the husband borrowed money from his brother, and the wife secured the remaining $65,000 with help from her family. She explained, "My husband suggested taking out a loan, which led me to seek help from my family."
Lee Ho-sun remarked, "This house is amazing; you call your brother, and $10,000 appears, call your family, and $65,000 appears. But it's all debt."
Regarding their current financial situation, the wife revealed, "My husband's monthly income is $10,000, but our savings are zero," shocking everyone.
Lee Ho-sun questioned their abnormal spending habits, asking, "Do you gamble?"
The wife manages the household finances, but it's challenging. Despite the husband's $10,000 monthly income, their expenses are high, with nearly half going out. The husband claims his allowance is $200, but some months, credit card bills reach $3,000.
The wife also exposed her husband's lifestyle habits, saying, "He loves to party, sometimes coming home at 6 AM." She continued, "He was caught lying. He invited a woman to a karaoke room on the day we were choosing our wedding photos. He selected wedding photos at the karaoke room," shocking the cast.
The husband defended himself, saying, "We chose the photos together at home." However, the wife countered, "I have evidence. He told a close friend, 'Just don't get caught,' and 'I really want to go to a hunting bar.' This was before our marriage," she said. "I wanted to call off the wedding, but he promised in writing." The husband admitted to visiting entertainment venues but argued that the financial and house contract issues were more the wife's responsibility.
