BLACKPINK Sets New K-Pop Records on Billboard and UK Charts with 'DEADLINE'

BLACKPINK is making waves on the world's major music charts, including the U.S. Billboard and the UK Official Charts, setting new K-pop records.

According to the latest charts released by Billboard on the 9th (local time), BLACKPINK's title track 'GO' from their third mini-album [DEADLINE] has climbed to 63rd on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks the group's 11th entry on the chart, setting a record for the most entries by a K-pop female artist.

The group also achieved 13th place on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) chart and made their fifth entry on the Billboard 200 with [DEADLINE].

Beyond Billboard, BLACKPINK is dominating various global music charts. On the UK Official Chart's Singles Top 100, 'GO' reached 44th place, while [DEADLINE] secured the 11th spot on the Albums Top 100. These achievements mark the group's 12th and 4th entries, respectively, setting new records for the most entries by a K-pop female artist in both singles and albums categories.

The album charts are no exception. [DEADLINE] topped the Hanteo weekly and monthly charts with just two and a half days of sales data and achieved a triple crown on the Circle Chart. It also set a new record for the highest first-week sales by a K-pop girl group, selling 1,774,577 copies within a week of release.

Released on the 27th of last month, BLACKPINK's third mini-album [DEADLINE] has been praised by major foreign media for its high musical quality. Rolling Stone described it as "BLACKPINK returning to their prime," while Billboard called the title track 'GO' "the best song on the album and truly representative of BLACKPINK."
