Jinyoung from GOT7 shared a behind-the-scenes story about a physical altercation with his bandmates on the YouTube show 'Salon Drip'.
On October 10, Jinyoung appeared on the show alongside Kim Minju to promote their new JTBC drama 'Shining'.
Jinyoung, who shares his name with JYP Entertainment's founder, previously went by the stage name 'Junior'. He explained, "I have the same name as Jinyoung PD. He named me 'Junior' saying, 'You're my junior'."
However, Jinyoung decided to use his real name as he grew older, saying, "I started to feel conflicted about using 'Junior' as I got older." When host Jang Do-yeon jokingly suggested he ask the senior Jinyoung to use 'Senior' instead, Jinyoung laughed.
Jang Do-yeon asked if Jinyoung keeps in touch with his GOT7 members. Jinyoung replied, "We have a group chat, but we don't talk often. Even without frequent contact, we feel like family. We check in occasionally."
Jang Do-yeon mentioned that GOT7 is known for fighting as much as groups like Shinhwa and Super Junior. Jinyoung confirmed, "That's true." He explained, "During choreography, we had moves where we'd lightly tap each other. It started as a joke but escalated as we hit harder. It became a cycle of hitting back harder."
Jinyoung recalled an incident where they fought in a broadcast station bathroom but acted as if nothing happened when they went on stage. He said, "Yes, we fought in the bathroom too." However, he noted that they reconcile quickly, "Within an hour, it's all resolved. We're like family. After all those fights, we don't fight anymore and have grown closer."
