On October 10, Shin Ki-ru posted on her Instagram story, "To make everyone happy, I need to be happy first. I will be happy," along with a photo.
The photo shows Shin Ki-ru meeting a fan at a restaurant. The fan wrote on a napkin, "I'm such a fan that I watch all your shows," and "I hope you become a comedian who makes everyone happy."
Notably, the fan also wrote, "Switch to e-cigarettes later," expressing concern for Shin Ki-ru's health due to her smoking habits.
Previously, Shin Ki-ru appeared on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhanyoung Shin Dong-yeop' last month. During the show, fellow comedian Lee Yong-jin teased her, saying, "You're addicted to nicotine." Shin Ki-ru candidly admitted, "I just smoked three cigarettes," not hiding her smoking habit.
Shin Ki-ru, born in 1981, is 44 years old and stands at 174 cm tall. She debuted in 2005 on KBS2's 'Gag Concert' and was later selected as a special comedian by SBS in 2007. In 2019, she married a non-celebrity one year her senior, and they have no children.
