K-Pop Star Son Dam-bi Advocates for Stricter Child Abuse Penalties in Memory of Victim Haedun
K-pop singer and actress Son Dam-bi has taken to social media to advocate for a petition calling for stricter penalties for child abuse, in memory of Haedun, a young victim who tragically passed away.
On October 10, Son Dam-bi shared a heartfelt message on her social media, urging her followers to support the petition. She wrote, "In memory of Haedun, who left this world too soon, I ask you to join the petition for stronger child abuse penalties to ensure such tragedies never happen again." Alongside her message, she posted a photo showing her completed agreement to the petition.
The image displayed her support for the petition, with Son Dam-bi emphasizing, "Even a small agreement can become a voice for Haedun."
Before encouraging others to join the petition, Son Dam-bi shared a heartwarming video of herself spending quality time with her daughter, who is nearing her first birthday. The video, captioned "My love," shows her sharing a joyful moment with her daughter, exchanging kisses and smiles, highlighting her affection for her child.
The post resonated with many online, with users noting that as a mother of a daughter around the same age as the victim, Son Dam-bi's advocacy carries a personal significance.
Son Dam-bi married former speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk in May 2022, and the couple welcomed their daughter in April of the following year.
