Heeseung, a member of the popular K-pop group ENHYPEN, has announced his sudden departure from the group.
According to Belift Lab, the agency representing ENHYPEN, the group will now continue as a six-member team consisting of Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. Heeseung will embark on a new journey as a solo artist.
Belift Lab shared this news on the global fan platform Weverse, stating, "We have been discussing the future direction and goals of ENHYPEN. During this process, we recognized Heeseung's distinct musical aspirations and decided to respect his decision."
Heeseung expressed his thoughts, saying, "I know many ENGENEs (ENHYPEN's fans) might be surprised by this news and have questions about this sudden announcement." He reflected on his time with the group, saying, "The past six years have been filled with indescribably precious moments."
Heeseung continued, "I want to be someone who supports ENHYPEN more than anyone else. After much contemplation, I made a significant decision to follow the direction suggested by the company to present a better version of myself to ENGENEs." He added, "I am aware of your concerns and various opinions, and I am preparing diligently to meet you all again soon."

Hello, this is Heeseung.
First of all, I know many ENGENEs might be surprised by my news and have questions about this sudden announcement. That's why I wanted to address you directly.
The past six years have been filled with indescribably precious moments for me.
Thanks to the members with whom I've shared countless emotions and the ENGENEs who have always filled the void, I've been able to take steps toward dreams that once seemed unreachable.
These moments will remain as some of the most shining moments of my life.
I want to continue being someone who supports ENHYPEN more than anyone else.
After sharing the results of my work with the company and discussing how best to present them, I made a significant decision to follow the direction suggested by the company to present a better version of myself to ENGENEs.
As you know, I've been working on personal projects, hoping to share them with you, and I've spent a lot of time on this.
There were many things I wanted to show, but I didn't want to prioritize my desires over the team.
I am aware of your concerns and various opinions, and I am preparing diligently to meet you all again soon.
I sincerely want to return with a better version of myself.
I feel sorry for surprising and worrying you, knowing how much love and affection you've given me.
