A real-life story of a groom-to-be discovering a shocking secret about his future in-laws just a month before his wedding is set to be revealed.
In Channel A's 'Detectives' Trade Secrets', the 'Case Notebook' segment features a groom-to-be who requests a premarital investigation, stating, "I haven't been able to see my future mother-in-law for some time." The story begins when the client, an acupuncturist working in Seoul, relocates to a small-town clinic, where he meets the clinic director's daughter, who is four years his senior. They quickly fall in love and plan to marry. To the client, his girlfriend's family appears to be the epitome of harmony and perfection. However, he becomes suspicious when his future mother-in-law suddenly disappears. Concerned, he visits his girlfriend's home, where he discovers CCTV cameras installed throughout the house and a mysterious locked room, raising further questions.
The detective team begins their investigation and witnesses the future mother-in-law visiting a temple with bodyguards in a black van. They overhear tattooed women thanking her, saying, "Thanks to you, we can live like humans now," adding to the mystery. The intrigue deepens when the future mother-in-law is seen escaping from the vehicle, only to be caught by the bodyguards.
Her desperate escape attempt ends in vain, and she is later seen trying to flee the house at night, only to be captured again, plunging the case into further confusion. The 'Detectives' Trade Secrets' studio is thrown into chaos by this high-stakes mystery. Kim Poong remarks, "Wow, what is this..." while guest detective Ozone, known for his deduction skills, admits, "Is it always this difficult?" The shocking secret hidden by the seemingly perfect future in-laws will be unveiled in the broadcast.
Meanwhile, the episode features Ozone, a rising star in the entertainment industry known for his unique looks and natural charm on YouTube, as a guest detective. Kim Poong praises his timing, saying, "He really knows how to ride the wave of the times," while Defconn jokes, "At first, I thought he was Nucksal's manager," eliciting laughter.
Ozone shares a humorous anecdote, "Many people think I'm a YouTuber or comedian, not a singer. I've even been mistaken for a manager on set." He also reveals his eight-year-long relationship with his beautiful girlfriend. Defconn, showing a hint of jealousy, asks, "Are you sure you have a girlfriend?" before adding, "Now I have hope," causing laughter.
