K-Pop Star Heo Young-ji Delivers a Stirring Performance on 'Change Street'
Heo Young-ji, who debuted in 2014, delivered a profound performance on 'Change Street'.

ENA's 'Change Street' is an innovative cultural exchange program where Korean artists perform familiar K-POP songs on the streets of Japan, and Japanese artists present well-known J-POP songs on the streets of Korea, fostering a connection through language and emotion.

In the 9th episode aired on the 27th of last month, Heo Young-ji took the stage as part of the Korean representative 'Youth' team, alongside Hui from Pentagon, HYNN (Park Hye-won), and Sanha from Astro. Although Heo Young-ji has performed on various stages in Japan during her time with Kara, this was her first street busking experience, which she approached with excitement and nervousness.

The 'Youth' team's busking location was under the iconic Tokyo Tower. Seated close to the audience, Heo Young-ji engaged in natural ice-breaking, creating a warm atmosphere.

As a member of the second-generation girl group Kara and a solo artist, Heo Young-ji's first song choice was Baek Ji-young's 'Don't Forget', famous as the OST for the KBS drama 'Iris'. She delivered it with her unique sensitivity, showcasing a clear and pure tone that resonated deeply with listeners.

Heo Young-ji's powerful voice filled the area around Tokyo Tower, impressing the studio MCs with a performance that offered a different charm from the original song. Her intriguing song choice from the first performance has heightened anticipation for what she will present in future busking sessions.

'Change Street' airs every Friday at 11 PM.
