Kim Seon-tae, known for leading the official YouTube channel of Chungju City in South Korea for a decade, has made headlines by launching his personal YouTube channel just three weeks after resigning from his position.
On October 2nd, Kim Seon-tae launched his YouTube channel named 'Kim Seon-tae'. The channel's introduction simply states, 'Hello, I am Kim Seon-tae'. As of 5 PM, the channel has already surpassed 21,500 subscribers, showcasing a rapid growth in popularity despite not having any videos uploaded yet.
Online, fans have expressed their excitement with comments like "I subscribed immediately", "Can't wait to see what content he'll create", and "The pressure for the first content must be intense".
Kim Seon-tae joined the Chungju City office in 2016 and was responsible for producing and managing YouTube content, growing the channel to a remarkable 1 million subscribers. He gained further recognition by appearing on various broadcasts. In February, he submitted his resignation to Chungju City and took an extended leave. There were speculations about him joining the Blue House, but he clarified that although he met with Blue House officials, he did not receive any recruitment offers.
