Actress Go Ah-sung has opened up about her special connection with fellow actors Park Jung-min and Byun Yo-han.
Recently, Go Ah-sung sat down for an interview at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to discuss her role in the Netflix film 'Pavane' directed by Lee Jong-pil.
'Pavane' is a film about three individuals who, while living with closed hearts, become lights for each other and face life and love. In the film, Go Ah-sung plays the role of 'Mi-jung,' a woman who hides from the uncomfortable gazes of others.
During the interview, Go Ah-sung spoke about working with Byun Yo-han. She mentioned, "I always felt that I would meet Byun Yo-han in a project someday." She added, "I felt a connection with him, and I have long admired his humor and serious energy," expressing her admiration.
Regarding Byun Yo-han's character 'Yohan' in 'Pavane,' she said, "I was amazed at how exceptional he was. It felt like Byun Yo-han's unique energy was perfectly captured in the character." She expressed her happiness about working with him and her desire to collaborate again in future projects.
There was also an unexpected connection. Go Ah-sung recalled, "I thought I had never met him before, but when we first met, he asked if I remembered him," she said with a laugh. She continued, "I didn't remember, but back in 2009, when I was a high school sophomore, I visited the Korea National University of Arts to shoot a graduation project."
She added, "I went there in my school uniform after class. After the movie 'The Host,' some people recognized me and jokingly greeted me as 'senior.' Byun Yo-han and Park Jung-min were there at the time, but I have no memory of it," she admitted candidly.
This fleeting encounter turned into a collaboration years later. Go Ah-sung remarked, "It was fascinating, and it made me think about the nature of connections."
