The photo features Lee Guk-joo amidst plum blossoms, dressed in a pink outfit, eagerly awaiting spring. Notably, her face in the original photo appeared slimmer than the AI-generated version, catching the attention of many.
Meanwhile, since April last year, Lee Guk-joo has been living in a 9-pyeong studio apartment in Tokyo, Japan. She explained, "I've turned 40, and next year marks my 20th anniversary since debut. I wanted to take on a new challenge. I thought, 'If I can learn Japanese, maybe I can try something new.'"
In response to some netizens criticizing her for being able to live alone due to her financial status, Lee Guk-joo clarified, "This isn't a challenge or living alone like in my 20s. I'm in my 40s." She added, "Don't expect me to live like I'm in my 20s." Furthermore, she expressed, "Even if my life in Japan doesn't succeed, I don't think it will ruin my life. It will be a good experience."
