Recently, Kim Junsu participated in an interview for the musical 'Beetlejuice' (directed by Sim Seol-in) at a café in Gangnam, Seoul. 'Beetlejuice' is a performance that runs for approximately 150 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission. Despite spending most of his time on stage, Kim consistently maintains his signature clear tone, engaging with audiences at every show.
Kim Junsu remarked, "'Beetlejuice' has the most dialogue of any production I've done," adding, "It's normal for one's voice to become hoarse with this much strain on the vocal cords, but I'm fine. People say I'm a subject of study," he laughed.
He also mentioned that his vocal technique differs from the norm. "In the past, actress Jung Sun-ah introduced me to a vocal coach, and even they found my vocal technique fascinating," he explained, "My vocal structure is somewhat different from the start."
Meanwhile, 'Beetlejuice' is based on the 1988 film about ghostly antics. Kim Junsu plays the role of Beetlejuice, a ghost trapped between the living and the dead for 100 billion years, striving to prove his existence. The show runs at the LG Art Center Seoul's LG SIGNATURE Hall until March 22.
