Premiering this March, SBS's special 'Mongle Counseling Center' will explore the first romances of young adults with developmental disabilities. Known as one of the entertainment industry's most beloved couples, Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon will bring their positive energy to the show as they assist these young adults in their romantic pursuits.
Ahead of the show's launch, the couple shared their thoughts on the project in a written interview. Lee Hyori expressed her motivation for joining 'Mongle Counseling Center', stating, "I admired PD Go Hye-rin's previous works and wanted to collaborate with someone who creates programs with genuine intent." She added, "I also wanted to learn more about developmental disabilities and the young adults who live with them."
Lee Sang-soon echoed her sentiments, saying, "The concept was appealing." He continued, "The show tackles a potentially sensitive topic without being too heavy or too light. I was intrigued by the idea of exploring the romantic lives of young adults with developmental disabilities as if watching a dating show."
Finally, the couple expressed their hope that many viewers will tune into 'Mongle Counseling Center'. Lee Hyori stated, "I hope people will watch and appreciate the young adults as they are. The program promises to be a healing experience with the honest and pure energy of these youths."
