Actor Jeon Jin-seo Takes Lead Role in Fantasy Romance Short Drama 'Neighbors Not in the World: Vampire Boyfriends'
Jeon Jin-seo, who gained attention as Kim Hae's son in the 2020 JTBC drama 'The World of the Married', has been cast as the lead in the short drama 'Neighbors Not in the World: Vampire Boyfriends'. Last March, he signed an exclusive contract with Peak J, the agency of actress Moon Ga-young, marking a new beginning in his career.

Set to premiere on March 5, 'Neighbors Not in the World: Vampire Boyfriends' is a fantasy romance that intertwines the stories of 'Arthur', a vampire seeking to regain his memories, 'Han-soo', a girl who wants to be useful to the world, and 'Kang-woo', a vampire who desires to keep Arthur by his side forever. The drama is written and directed by Jo Bar-eun, known for his sensuous direction in thriller and fantasy genres such as the films 'Grotesque Mansion' and 'Floor'.

In the drama, Jeon Jin-seo plays the protagonist 'Arthur', a mysterious vampire who appears fragile but yearns for the human world and the outside world where the sun exists. Through a deal with Han-soo, he gradually recovers his lost memories while also struggling to escape his past, portraying a character with a complex inner world.

Jeon Jin-seo is expected to convincingly depict the transformation of a character in love, drawing on his mysterious aura and restrained emotional expression. This role is anticipated to showcase a different emotional depth compared to his previous stable performances.

The drama will be exclusively released on 'Lezin Snack', a vertical short drama platform operated by Lezhin Entertainment. The newly launched Lezin Snack has already released works by director Lee Byung-hun of 'Extreme Job', and director Lee Joon-ik of 'The King and the Clown' is also set to release a project, increasing interest in the platform. Upcoming works will also be produced in a short-form format optimized for mobile environments, capturing the relationships and emotional changes between characters with intensity.

Jeon Jin-seo debuted as a child actor and has built a solid filmography with roles in dramas such as 'The Heirs', 'Mr. Sunshine', and 'The World of the Married', leaving a strong impression in 'The World of the Married'. After completing his entrance exams, he enrolled at Chung-Ang University and announced a new start as an adult actor by taking on the role of 'Moon Chan-young', a key character in the 2025 drama 'Seocho-dong'. His mature visuals and intense emotional expression have proven his potential for growth as an actor.

Having honed his skills since his child actor days, Jeon Jin-seo is expanding his range by venturing into the short drama genre with 'Neighbors Not in the World: Vampire Boyfriends'. There is keen interest in the changes he will bring in this new format.

'Neighbors Not in the World' is set to be released in its entirety on Lezin Snack on March 5.
