Science YouTuber Gwedo Recalls Childhood Mischief: 'I Broke a Window'

Science YouTuber Gwedo (real name Kim Jae-hyuk) recently shared a memorable childhood mischief that caught attention: breaking a window.

On the 24th, the YouTube channel 'Al-ddal-ddal Han Chamgyeon' released a video titled 'Stop the Noise! Gwedo Takes Over the Drinking Table with Science.' In the video, Gwedo discussed his life graph and shared a story about a mischievous incident from his model student days.

When asked by Muji about his most memorable act of rebellion from his teenage to twenties, Gwedo initially claimed, "None at all," but then admitted, "I once broke a window in elementary school."

Gwedo recounted, "I was standing below and threw a stone upwards when suddenly I heard a crash. An older man came out and asked, 'Who did this?' All the kids ran away, leaving me standing alone." He continued, "I was so inspired by George Washington's biography that I thought it was better not to lie, so I confessed, 'I threw it.'"

As the panel expressed shock, Gwedo added, "The man grabbed me by the collar and said, 'Where do you live? Let's go,' and dragged me away. My surprised father, after hearing the whole story, told the man, 'I'll pay for everything, just calm down. And why did you bring the kid here?'"

He further shared, "Later, my father said, 'Well done. I was worried because you never did anything strange.'" This revelation left the panel astonished.

Meanwhile, Gwedo majored in celestial space science and served as a policy advisor at the Blue House. He is an early member of the YouTube channel 'Unscientific Science,' which has amassed around 1.36 million subscribers. In 2023, he appeared on Netflix's survival show 'Devil's Plan' Season 1, gaining recognition as a 'science fanatic.' Last year, he was appointed as a special professor at the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology's Basic Science Department.
