Former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae has celebrated her son's second birthday by donating 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000) to charity.
On the 24th, Son's agency, The Seed Company, announced, "Son Yeon-jae recently donated 100 million KRW to Severance Hospital in honor of her son's second birthday." The donation is intended to support the treatment of patients battling cancer.
Through her agency, Son expressed, "I wanted to make this meaningful day even more special," adding, "I hope this can provide some support to the patients and their families undergoing treatment."
Son Yeon-jae has consistently practiced philanthropy during significant milestones in her life. In 2022, she donated 50 million KRW from her wedding gifts, and since the birth of her son in 2024, she has donated 100 million KRW annually on his first and second birthdays. Her total donations now amount to 350 million KRW (approximately $262,500).
Even after retiring, Son continues to engage in activities aimed at nurturing young athletes and expanding the reach of rhythmic gymnastics.
