Lee Chan-won Takes on Dual Roles in 'Celebrity Soldier's Secret' Highlighting ADHD
Singer Lee Chan-won is set to challenge himself with dual roles in the upcoming episode of KBS 2TV's 'Celebrity Soldier's Secret.'

Airing on the 24th, the show will delve into the realities of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), a condition many modern individuals may suspect they have.

Host Jang Do-yeon admits to struggling with dopamine addiction, saying, "I can't resist the temptation of 'just one more short-form video' every night." Meanwhile, dancer Gabee shares her personal struggles, noting, "Every ADHD story feels like my own," and discusses her efforts to overcome these challenges. Professor Kim Boong-nyeon from Seoul National University's Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry praises Gabee's experiences as a "successful adaptation case," expressing deep empathy.

The episode will also explore historical figures and modern celebrities who are believed to have exhibited ADHD traits. Figures like Leonardo da Vinci, Winston Churchill, Isaac Newton, and Salvador Dali are highlighted for their simultaneous traits of distractibility, intense focus, and vivid creativity, which align with ADHD characteristics. The cast is particularly astonished by the suggestion that da Vinci's unique writing habits may hint at ADHD tendencies.

Winston Churchill, once labeled a "persistent troublemaker" in his school records, transformed from an impulsive, uncontrollable youth into one of Britain's most revered leaders. The show will spotlight the pivotal moments when he turned his traits from weaknesses into strategic strengths.

Conversely, the story of Prince Yangnyeong, known as the "troublesome prince" of the Joseon Dynasty, will illustrate the potential consequences of failing to manage such traits. Lee Chan-won will showcase a range of performances, from playing a tyrant to portraying the most beautiful woman of the Joseon era, bringing laughter to the set. Gabee, watching his performance, reportedly remarked, "His acting is so good, it gives me chills."

The ADHD episode of 'Celebrity Soldier's Secret' will air on the 24th at 8:30 PM.
