K-pop sensation IVE (members An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo) is gearing up to release their second studio album.
On October 23 at 6 PM KST, IVE will drop their highly anticipated album 'REVIVE+' and kick off their comeback activities.
According to their agency, Starship Entertainment, 'REVIVE+' is not about resetting or declaring a change, but rather reigniting their journey. Having previously focused on narratives centered around 'self-assurance,' IVE is now expanding their perspective to 'us,' delving into themes of relationships and connections. This album aims to broaden their narrative by uniting IVE with their audience, showcasing their confidence in moving forward from their current position in multiple directions.
The album features 12 tracks, including double title tracks 'BLACKHOLE' and 'BANG BANG,' as well as 'Hush,' 'Stuck In Your Head,' 'Fireworks,' 'HOT COFFEE,' and solo tracks from each member: Jang Wonyoung's '8,' Gaeul's 'Odd,' Leeseo's 'Super ICY,' Liz's 'Unreal,' Rei's 'In Your Heart,' and An Yujin's 'Force.'
The title track 'BLACKHOLE' is a shuffle-based track with a cinematic atmosphere, offering a sense of vast space and a film-like sound texture that delivers high engagement and intense addictiveness. It portrays IVE's view of the present and change through the imagery of a 'black hole,' where annihilation and creation coexist.
Previously, IVE made a strong start to their second studio album with the pre-release of the double title track 'BANG BANG' on October 9. The track has topped domestic YouTube weekly popular artist and song charts, daily shorts popular song charts, and has secured high positions on major domestic music charts, while also gaining momentum on international charts. With the release of various teaser content such as highlight medleys, concept photos, and music video teasers, anticipation for IVE's comeback is building. All eyes are on IVE's future endeavors as they embark on a new narrative journey from 'me' to 'us.'
