Actor Byun Yo-han, who is set to marry Girls' Generation's Tiffany, shared his thoughts on 'love'.
On the 20th, the YouTube channel 'Baek Eun-ha's Exchange' released a video titled '[Exclusive] We Asked Byun Yo-han, What is Love?'.
Byun appeared on the show to promote his Netflix film 'Pavane' and discussed his views on love.
While portraying the character 'Park Yo-han' in the film, he revealed, "I want to love and be loved, but there's no one beside me. It felt like my experience, my friends' experiences, and those of my close acquaintances."
Discussing the relationships between the three characters in the film, Byun remarked, "(Love) is interesting as a triangle. Mutual love is..." before humorously adding, "It's boring to death."
Byun explained, "A triangle is more interesting because there's an extra emotion involved," and compared it to the show 'Single's Inferno', saying, "When the catfish appears, people become meerkats."
Exploring his character, he pondered, "I was curious about what emotional deprivation is. I couldn't find an answer."
When asked, "What is love?", Byun confessed, "The definition of love seems to change every year." When Baek Eun-ha mentioned his fiancée Tiffany, he shyly smiled and said, "This feels more like a confession booth than a YouTube show."
Byun stated, "The definition of love changes every year, but right now, I think it's a 'choice'. Love is about choosing," adding, "For the next choice, I think it's about making better choices for everything. Love is about making choices every day."
He continued, "That definition might change again, but that's how it is now. The definition of every emotion varies with time."
Byun teased an 'amazing kiss scene' in the film, saying, "It wasn't bad. I consider myself lucky to have filmed a kiss scene with that person."
Meanwhile, Byun Yo-han confirmed his relationship with Girls' Generation member Tiffany last December, stating, "We are dating with marriage in mind."
