On the episode of TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 4' aired on the 19th, the second round of the 'Legend Mission' individual performances was revealed. The 'Legend Mission' featured legends Kim Soo-hee, Choi Jin-hee, Kim Yeon-ja, and Kim Yong-im.
Hong Sung-yoon, who is currently leading the national support vote, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I didn't expect so many people to watch me, and I'm thankful every day, feeling honored." This was in response to questions about whether he felt awkward appearing on his first audition program and broadcast.
He further confessed, "I'm studying what to improve by watching the broadcasts," and shared, "I had been torn between traditional Korean music and authentic styles, but I chose my mother's favorite song."
Hong Sung-yoon performed Kim Soo-hee's 'Lonely Lover,' reinterpreting it with his unique emotion, earning high praise from the judges. Kim Soo-hee, the original artist, complimented him by saying, "If I could steal a voice, I would want to steal his," and added, "I'm envious. If he continues like this, he will develop his own genre," which moved Hong Sung-yoon to tears.
Meanwhile, 'Miss Trot 4' is a trot audition program aiming to crown the fourth trot queen, following Song Ga-in, Yang Ji-eun, and Jung Seo-joo.
