Actress Lee Elijah overcame health challenges to deliver a stunning performance on 'Miss Trot 4'.

On the episode of TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 4' aired on the 19th, the second round of individual performances took place. Lee Elijah, who was in 11th place after the first round, took the stage just 5 points behind 10th place Kim Dana. Host Kim Sung-joo explained, "Kim Dana's master score is 1361 points, and just 5 more points could change the rankings."

Concerns about Lee Elijah's health were raised before her performance. Park Se-ri expressed worry, saying, "Is she okay with her condition not being good?" Boom added, "She even considered dropping out due to a sore throat." Lee Elijah revealed, "I initially had nasopharyngitis, which caused inflammation similar to a cold." During practice, she lamented, "I'm sorry, my voice isn't coming out at all." Choi Jin-hee commented, "She must not be feeling well. It's so bad that I can't even tell her to push through."

Despite the difficult circumstances, Lee Elijah showed determination to perform. She admitted, "Honestly, I was very angry with myself for not managing my condition better. If I can't deliver this performance, I'll be very upset with myself, but I'll do my best to put on a good show." She added, "I'm trying hard to overcome this," and sang Choi Jin-hee's 'We Broke Up Too Easily'.

After the performance, Lee Kyung-kyu praised her, saying, "In dramas or movies, the director says 'cut, okay'. It's an 'okay'. No need to redo it. It's a one-take finish." Joo Young-hoon added, "I almost cried. She seemed like someone who just went through a breakup, and I wanted to hand her a handkerchief to wipe her tears. It made us immerse in the performance. When singing a cappella, the breath itself conveys the lyrics." Jang Yoon-jung encouraged her, "You seem to blame yourself, but there's no need. Even professional singers have off days. I applaud your perseverance."

Lee Elijah scored 1411 out of 1500 points, breaking into the 1400s. Kim Sung-joo announced, "This is the highest score we've seen so far." After the performance, Lee Elijah expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you, throat, for holding on."
