Lee Sung-kyung Returns to MBC Drama After a Decade with 'Your Glorious Season'
Actress Lee Sung-kyung is making her return to MBC as a lead actress after a decade since 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo', expressing her excitement for the new project.

On the afternoon of the 19th, a press conference for MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Your Glorious Season' was held at the MBC headquarters in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Hosted by MC Park Kyung-lim, the event was attended by director Jung Sang-hee, along with actors Lee Sung-kyung, Chae Jong-hyeop, Lee Mi-sook, Kang Seok-woo, Han Ji-hyun, and Oh Ye-joo, who shared insights about the drama.

'Your Glorious Season' is a romance that follows the story of 'Chan', a man who lives every day like summer vacation, and 'Ran', a woman who has confined herself to winter. Their fateful meeting sets the stagnant time in motion again. Lee Sung-kyung plays Song Ha-ran, the chief designer of the top high-end fashion house 'Nana Atelier'. Her character is one who has locked herself away in pain after losing loved ones.

Lee Sung-kyung stated, "It's not a typical romance where everything is expected to fall into place. There's a detailed narrative. Viewers will be curious and empathetic as they watch the layers of family stories unfold. The character's charm is vividly alive, which is why I chose this project." 'Your Glorious Season' is scheduled as the follow-up to 'Judge Lee Han-young', which concluded with a viewership rating in the 10% range.

Returning to MBC drama after about 10 years since 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo', Lee Sung-kyung reminisced about the past success, "Back then, 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo' faced strong competition. It was my first lead role, and my mindset remains unchanged. I leave the results to the viewers. I'm committed to creating something I'm not ashamed of, and I'm confident it will be deeply moving."
