On the 18th, Park Sung-hoon shared several photos on his Instagram story with the caption, "Thank you♥".
The posts revealed Park visiting a photo cafe event organized by fans for his 42nd birthday. He took selfies in front of a mirror with 'HAPPY SUNG HOON DAY' written on it and left his autograph on a large photo card, enjoying his special day.
Previously, Park was embroiled in controversy in December 2024 when he uploaded a Japanese AV cover on his social media, sparking a pornography scandal. He had posted a group poster of Japanese AV actors in a scene while wearing his costume from the Netflix original series 'Squid Game 2', which he later deleted.
His agency, BH Entertainment, initially explained, "While checking numerous DMs (direct messages), he accidentally shared it." However, the next day, they revised their statement, saying, "Park received the Japanese AV cover via DM and, realizing it could be problematic, downloaded it to send to a company representative. It was mistakenly uploaded instead of being deleted immediately," which further fueled the controversy.
In January last year, Park addressed the issue during a 'Squid Game 2' interview, shedding tears. He also stepped down from his role in the upcoming tvN drama 'The Tyrant's Chef'.
Meanwhile, born in 1985, Park Sung-hoon is set to appear alongside actress Han Ji-min, who is also under the same agency, in the JTBC drama 'Efficient Meeting of Singles', scheduled to air on the 28th.
