The intriguing connection between Bae Sung-jae and Jeon Hyun-moo has captured the interest of viewers.
On the October 16th episode of JTBC's 'Talk Pawon 25 Hours,' Bae Sung-jae made a guest appearance.
During the broadcast, Bae Sung-jae, who is set to cover the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, was praised by Kim Sook for his trustworthy voice.
Lee Chan-won asked Bae Sung-jae about his connection with Jeon Hyun-moo. Bae explained, "Our relationship is a bit tangled. I joined the broadcasting company first, but Jeon Hyun-moo is older." However, due to their career changes, they never actually worked together at the same company.
Yang Se-chan inquired about how they address each other. Jeon humorously responded, "We just go with 'Hey!'" Bae jokingly added that they use gestures to communicate, nodding his head. He concluded warmly, "We met after going freelance and just call each other brother."
Kim Sook mentioned Jeon Hyun-moo's commentary during the Paris Olympics, asking if Bae had watched it. Bae admitted, "I was nervous because I wasn't originally supposed to cover weightlifting. But I was asked to step in, and it turned into a rivalry match. Normally, when I cover an event, it ranks first in viewership, but Jeon Hyun-moo's weightlifting commentary took the top spot."
Meanwhile, Bae Sung-jae married Kim Da-young, who is 14 years his junior, last year. On JTBC's 'Knowing Bros,' Bae shared why they skipped a traditional wedding, saying, "Weddings are expensive, with costs for flowers, photos, and dresses. It's an important moment, but we felt stressed, so we decided to skip the ceremony and take photos at a traditional Korean house instead."
