IVE (members: An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo) recently appeared on JTBC's 'Newsroom' ahead of their comeback. During the show, they discussed their upcoming second full-length album 'REVIVE+', their world tour plans, and the group's growth.
On the 15th, IVE made an appearance on JTBC's 'Newsroom'. Jang Wonyoung, who once dreamed of becoming a news anchor, expressed her excitement, saying, "It's a new experience to be here, and I'm thrilled." As the group visited during the Winter Olympics, they shared their heartfelt support for the athletes, wishing them success and safety.
Reflecting on their achievements, Rei stated, "Receiving awards each year has been a great motivation. With our return through a full-length album, we hope to achieve meaningful results by showcasing our best."
Last month, IVE made history at the 40th Golden Disc Awards by winning both the Album Bonsang for their mini-album 'IVE EMPATHY' and the Digital Song Bonsang for the title track 'REBEL HEART'. This marked their third consecutive year of winning both awards, making them the only 4th generation girl group to achieve this feat. Liz expressed gratitude, saying, "Winning these awards is not easy, and we owe it all to our fans, DIVE."
An Yujin explained the group's unique charm, stating, "The name 'IVE' means 'I HAVE', representing our desire to showcase everything we have. Our strength lies in our ability to display diverse charms rather than being defined by a single color." She confidently added, "With our second full-length album, we've only shown about 20% of what we can do."
The conversation also touched on their upcoming album 'REVIVE+', set to release on the 23rd. Jang Wonyoung, who participated in writing the pre-released track 'BANG BANG', shared, "The song emphasizes confidence and self-assurance, with witty lyrics for the audience to enjoy." She also discussed her positive mindset, attributing it to the belief that she is the protagonist of her own life.
Gaeul described another title track, 'BLACKHOLE', as the centerpiece of the album, redefining the concept of 'us' and signaling a new beginning for IVE. The group heightened anticipation for their comeback by showcasing the song's key choreography.
With their second world tour set for 2026, IVE expressed excitement about meeting global fans. Leeseo shared, "We're thrilled to meet fans from various countries and are preparing diverse performances." An Yujin reflected on their growth from their first world tour 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE', noting the increased interaction with fans and closer bonds among members.
When asked about the titles they wish to be known by, Leeseo chose 'a trusted artist', while Rei opted for 'a limitless artist', expressing their commitment to showcasing their diverse talents.
Ahead of the release of their second full-length album 'REVIVE+' on the 23rd, IVE's pre-released track 'BANG BANG' has already climbed the charts, hinting at another hit. With unique content like the 'THE NARCISSISTIC GURLS CAMPAIGN' film, anticipation for their comeback continues to build. Fans eagerly await to see how IVE will continue their 'IVE Syndrome' with new music and performances.
IVE's second full-length album 'REVIVE+' and the title track 'BLACKHOLE' will be available on various online music platforms on the 23rd at 6 PM (KST).
